DESCRIPTION: This is another situation where the artist has taken great care in drawing and painting the flowers, paying attention to the subtleties in the original. This painting approach works well in many cases such as tole painting and plate decoration. In order for it to work well as a stand alone painting it needs to deal with the background. Rosemary knows if you get any closer to the flowers with that pink background wash, it will smear and ruin the hard work already invested. There are ways to solve this and I will be soon sending out some free instruction.
