DESCRIPTION: Joy Eaken is in Vero Beach Florida and submitted this entry the day after the announcement went out. I was thrilled to get such a great response. She used her imagination and added the bumble bee. She could get away with a bit more color on the flowers, even though they are white, and that in turn means increasing the darks in the background. I like her easy, confident handling of the washes which prevents overworking. Paintings tend to convey human emotion and this one says "Happy".
